Hey there, |
|
| As
promised – a photograph! The clothing is great and surprisingly comfortable. We received it very quickly via the post and were awaiting the collection of other items (especially the belt) prior to taking a photograph. Unfortunately an eyelet has already separated at the back of the trousers, but this will be concealed when worn and poses no fret! I intend to get another photograph for your use on the web page that omits the red sash and neck tie because they conceal some of your work. Who knows when this will eventuate, but the boots (which are borrowed Russian cavalry boots) need to be returned one day… The photo is taken midway between St Helens and Binalong Bay on the north-east coast of Tasmania where we are currently residing. The trees depicted are Eucalyptus sieberi. The belt and pouch were made by Hans Van Hees (it comes with 2 ‘slim jim’ holsters, but these were not worn for the photo) who specialises in colonial Australian leatherworking. The boots are Russian cavalry boots as aforementioned. The hat is a boater skimmer and needs a little bit more moulding and general wear to suit. The sash, neck tie and hat band were lovingly crafted by my wife. Thanks for your work and research! Sincerely, Matthew Hutchings |
